The structure has taken multiple heavy hits. At least ten sectors are dark. While we were able to launch bays 6 and 3, launch controls on the other bays have been damaged. Internal reports have a group breaching the hull and making their way through the structure, but sight of the group was lost at sector 8-65. I am sifting through the information as it is recovered. None of this makes sense. Reports of multiple impacts, depressurization, personnel breach and then nothing. The Razor has missed it’s last 2 check ins. Not a single emergency protocol has been followed. I think. I think it is safe to think the worst might have happened. We need to start preparations for recovery processes. Start warming up the deep space transports, activate all long haul assets. Hopefully any recovery agents will be able to do as they trained too, but we might have lost the territory known as The Bleed for now.

I didn’t think I’d ever go back there. Hell, I even avoid the station. I let so many people down last time I was there. Not just my unit, but everyone in the Bleed. If I had had a better, or kept my head on a swivel more, or been more in the moment then maybe things would have been different. Story of my life though. Shouldas and couldas and wouldas. Truth is I’m afraid. It feel like it missed last time and going back there will put me in it’s sights. Sure as hell ain’t gonna stop me though. You’ve seen the news. You know why I’m calling. Some of you know this feeling you have in the pit of your stomach. It’s one you got familiar with almost a decade ago. It’s the feeling that pushed you into the streets and then into the fray. It’s the feeling that caused us to shed blood and lose people we love. It’s a feeling we’re afraid of. We have good reason to be afraid. So much was broken last time. Relationships, our hearts, our spirits. It’s a wound that can only be covered, never healed and always raw. But we can’t live in fear. We are going to have to bear these wounds if we want a better world. I wish there was a better way, and maybe at some point there was, but the UPRC has moved past that. It is our mission, our duty to put ourselves between the UPRC and all those people who will be hurt by this. It’s gonna hurt, but when, not if, when we come out the other side of this with a better world we can look at the wounds we bear with pride because we earned them doing the right thing.
