Forward observation station delta checking in listener. I moved well outside the Marble City safe zone. If I was going to get a look at what we think is ground zero, I needed to. It seems to be getting worse, not just the site, but the surrounding areas. We knew that these entities thrived in this environment, but I don’t think we fully understood how it would affect the population left behind. Now that they aren’t trying to hide, these things are exerting influence over the remaining populations in the area. For lack of a better word, their forming cults Listener. Pain, however Listener, can be a good teacher. It can show us what not to do and what we will have to endure. No place is easy to be. There are hardships everywhere, and here in these mountains we learn from them well. Cold winters, bad crops, a company name coming to town with too little cash for your land and the backing of the city to take it if you don’t sell. It is, dear listener, unfortunate how woven into the fabric of this place pain is. Lose, hardships, overwhelming adversity. These are building blocks not just to Elder County, but Appalachia it’s self. I’ve watched it as this place grew, and my heart would break for the folks here, but the pain is just one part.
